IEPE Signal Conditioner
IEPE Signal Conditioner
TA487 is an interface that allows industry standard IEPE (integrated electronic piezoelectric) sensors to be connected to any oscilloscope that has a BNC input. It requires power from a USB port via the included USB cable.
A TA095 accelerometer (acceleration sensor) is also available from Pico Technology. Other IEPE sensors such as microphones, pressure sensors and strain gauges are available from other manufacturers. The sensor must have a BNC(m) connector.
A USB power supply or a free USB port on the PC is required to operate the signal conditioner.
A 4mA constant current source supplies the sensor via the USB connection.
Display signals from standard IEPE sensors on a PicoScope or other instruments that have a BNC input by means of the signal conditioner!
